// reasons for eucharisteo, vol. 9 //

Goodness, it’s been awhile!

I’m very sorry I haven’t been up-to-date on these, but life is kind of insane at the moment. I’m getting in the throes of my senior year, with dual classes and leading FCA and applying to colleges and all that sort of thing. It’s all wonderful, and I’m so grateful for all these opportunities and the spirit-growth and all the amazing things God is already doing with this year… BUT I have hardly written a thing worth reading in the past couple of weeks. Only a few snippets and random ideas here and there. Which is shameful for an aspiring writer with a head full of stories and plenty of access to Microsoft Word as well as the writing notebook she carries with her everywhere. Ahem.

So, I figured I’d share a bit of (long-overdue) joy with you all…

300.) SRT hymn studies. Beautiful.

301.) having all four classes with Aijalon. {That was in the spring– I MISS THIS.}

302.) the joy of new P&F trailers (yes, yes I still like it). {Another thing that ended this summer… AGH. That show was my childhood, y’all. AND it was what inspired me to use my imagination and to start writing. So I’ll always treasure it.}

303.) morning jogs on sunny days.

304.) dreaming big with friends.

305.) proposal videos that rekindle my hope for true love.

306.) we are His workmanship.

307.) pink rosette fairy lights hanging from my windows.

308.) chocolate from my family.

309.) early morning flurries. {Wow, so I’m a full six months behind… well, no surprise there. :P}

310.) snowflakes dusting my black jacket.

311.) I can wear makeup for fun, not out of insecurity.

312.) my family is so loving and wonderful.

313.) Aijalon’s thoughtful creativity in gift-giving.

314.) Future Husband, out there somewhere. ^_^

315.) when snow falls and makes my heart sing.

316.) no matter what, there is assurance of meeting friends again in heaven.

317.) I finished my first novel.

318.) a journaling Bible! Eep!

319.) runs in the rain to clear my frazzled mind.

320.) Piano Tribute Players.

321.) Callie is one of my favorite people to talk to.

322.) choral adventures.

323.) wearing a lovely vintage skirt.

324.) my family, who wants to journey on college visits with me.

325.) Liberty University. This may be the school, y’all. {That was when I first visited it, back in March. And now I’ve applied. What.}

326.) eating breakfast with Grandmommy + Pawpaw.

327.) chasing sunsets over Liberty with mom.

328.) Pigeon Forge.

329.) What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

That’s a VERY good note to end on, don’tcha think? ^_^

Hope you’re all doing well, and I have one parting question for you:

What are some things that YOU are finding joy in and thanking the Lord for?

// the shortest blog post ever… //

…But it’s my blog so I shall do as I please.

This was a little snippet that came to me as I was driving to school, that I scribbled down as soon as I got settled in my government class::

She gets so caught up in all that she isn’t

That she loses sight of who He is

And all that she is in Him.

So yeah… If you’re listening to the part of you that’s full of insecurities and lies, as all of us do from time to time (as I did this morning), remember your true identity.

You are a child of the King of Kings– a prince or princess– and are worth more than you will ever know. God has such wonderful plans for your life– for you are on a mission, you know. A mission to give your utmost for His highest, to share Him with this broken world who needs Him. You are redeemed, you have purpose, you are His workmanship, and you are loved, so loved. Please, please remind yourself of that every day. Because THAT is who you truly are, not a number on a scale or a test score or a talent (or lack of it). You are His child, and in Him you are more than enough.

{love always, Em}
