“One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating.”

As I sit at the kitchen table and eat the absolutely heavenly chocolate chip truffle cookie that I purchased at Chef’s Market earlier today, I’m reminded of what a wonderful experience eating at that restaurant was.
I had never been there before, but heard it was lovely, so when my mom and her dear friend planned a girls’ lunch date for the three of us and decided that we would eat there, I grew very excited.
And when I walked through the door today, I grew even more excited and began to frantically snap pictures of everything. I’m sure the other patrons thought me slightly insane, but I simply didn’t care. My thoughts were a hyper string of OhmygoodnessthisissoperfectlylovelyandartsyIhavetogetpicturesIhopethefoodisgoodwhatamIgonnaeat– you get the idea.
And so, without further ado, the eclectic loveliness that is Chef’s Market, one of my new favorite places to dine.
(Sorry that some of these are blurry. Oh, and I would also like to add that there was a wall that had the Ten Commandments written on it in French; unfortunately, I couldn’t get a good picture of it. But it was one of my favorite things there!)
A lovely place. Lovely food. Lovely company.
Today was one of those days where my heart was singing and I was just happy to be alive.
{love, Em}
This place appears magical. And I must go. It even reminds me slightly of my mental image of Cafe de la Foi!
